Bianca Schifani

I am an emerging jeweler and architect based in Zurich. I use jewelry as a tool to research materials and explore notions of value and utility.
My work plays with diverse resources, from gold and silver to industrial scraps of synthetic components originally engineered for technical applications, which I obsessively set into metal.
Central to my practice is the choice to invest a deliberate, disproportionate amount of time and labor in items discarded as useless.
